Over 4th of July week I had the pleasure of stringing together 3 of the greatest trails on Mt. Tam. If you can go the distance (7+ miles) you are in for a treat with changing terrain, a variety of views including waterfalls, coastal beaches, lush greenery, sometimes rolling fog. Start at Stinson Beach just past the fire station on the Matt Davis Trail. Hike to Pan Toll Ranger Station where you pick up the Steep Ravine Trail. You will begin your descent back to Stinson on
